Below is a sample list of the many and varied materials and modalities offered. Regardless of subject matter, sessions are conducted with care and concern for all participants.

  • Demonstrations are followed by engaging exercises.
  • Therapist will monitor clinical progress individually and with pertinent family.
  • No prior art experience is necessary for any therapy.
Mixed Media....
A combination of two or more media in one art piece, usually participants use layer upon layer and add textures and personal items. Personal items are encouraged so that they may be incorporated into individual artworks.
Little Masterpeices....
Each child will be able to observe some of the great masters of art, from Van Gogh to Andy Warhol, by replicating original works in their individual way.
Monsters & Idols....
All cultures embrace and represent their values through stories and tales of myths, legends and heros. Stories will be explored and discussed and each child will choose a monster of myth or character and create their own playful version. For example: Cyclops (see children's gallery).
Abstract Collage & Painting....
Using watercolors, acrylics, paper and stamps, as well as personal trinkets that participants bring, clients will be able to create various collages and paintings using numerous mediums on a variety of subjects. With individualized instruction clients will explore color, line, shadow, movement, and form. Subjects will include landscapes, still-life, the figure, portraits, and abstract forms.
